Zindagi tujhe kai baar
aate-jaate huye dekha hai.....
Labon pe laane se pahle hi jo badal daale maine..
unhi sawaalon ko teri aankhon me
jhilmilate huye dekha hai.

It tried to be different.. couldn't do it any differently from others. Then it chose to be yet another face in the crowd; and soon, it realized it can make some difference.

Jo labon pe aate mere, ghut jate hain sannaton ke shor mein
un ankahe labzon ko kai aur labzon mein chhupe dekha hai
apni zindagi ke tukdon ko maine, kai zindagiyon mein dekha hai
(stolen lines from another half written silly poem of mine that doesnt make any sense)

nice lines there... don't call them silly.. try completing the poem sometime :)
Hmm, nice lines as usual.
Kuch meri taraf se bhi:
Lafz jo bahe the kabhi aansuu bankar
Unhi nagmon ko andheron me
Gungunaate hue dekha hai...
@phoenix:
Good lines. Waise it should be 'Lafz' and not 'Labz'.
:)
Nice attempt there Introvert! Liked the brevity of it, though the theme is interesting enough to deserve an attempt at a full nazm maybe...
Could u change the "J" to "Z"...Zindagi...
taps dear..it's actually supposed to be labz if u look at the etymology...lab pe janma hua..lab+z...but in urdu since it's written as half a "ba" and a dot under it, it's not exactly the "b" sound, though it's not exactly the 'f" sound either...so although it may not sound like it, it's actually labz, aur maybe lab.z

thanx.
urs are always better.. :)

ohh Siyaah.. can't write a full nazm on the neighbourhood girl! :P
[phoenix]
"half a "ba" and a dot under it"- u r taliking of urdu written in devnagiri.. i wud rather write it with half a 'fa' and a dot under it! still not disagreeing.. i'm no expert on it. Let's seek Siyaah's opinion.
hey.. dropped in from phoenix's blog.. another great shayar here.. :)
@phoenix
You are not exactly correct about the etymological derivation of 'lafz' from 'lab'. I believe it is derived from 'alfaaz', which is the plural of 'lafz'.
As far as I can say from the experience of my learning of the Urdu script, the word is spelt with the harf (alphabet) 'fe' and not 'be'. In fact, no word 'labz' exists in Urdu.
Check out this site in case you need a further clarification:

@introver
Mine are worse to be honest.
Im also waiting for Siyaah's opinions on the labz vs lafz issue.
:)
Well! I dont think I'm qualified to give any expert opinion. But I think the issue with labz vs lafz is not surprising as these are spoken commonly these days.
The confusion arises coz actually 'lab' and 'lafz' are separate words, though they might sound similar.
Okay, here's the well kept secret resource I recommend for all such issues (search 'lab' and 'lafz' for example)

seems like Siyaah didn't want to anger Phoenix!
I searched at the recommended link.. and.. there were no search results for labz.
@introvert
Siyaah never asked you to search for 'labz'. He said search for 'lab' or 'lafz'. Lol. Give more attention to details. Lol.
:)
[canary] thanx.. and welcome.
ur comment just slipped off in my previous reply.
[tapasya]
well, "giving attention to details" is not there in the Tap's laws of blogging that I follow :D
@introvert
Im shocked! Someone is actually FOLLOWING my laws! What an honour! Lol.
wah wah!! wah wah! kya khoob kaha hain ...:)
