Waise, you've read it as if my facial expressions are confusing Him. I meant the other way round.. i.e. His confusion/ dilemma in deciding my fate is appearing on my face. (Even while writing it I knew there can be two interpretations, and so I rephrased it.. but still it's not unambiguous.).

1. Well, it's more Urdu than Hindi. This is a form of poetry we call Ghazal in which every couplet is a complete poem in itself, and (traditionally) interconnected couplets were discouraged. (Not a rule anymore though.) Now, because each couplet (she'r, you know) is complete in itself, people won't 'say' a complete ghazal for a particular situation.. they might however sit down and complete it some other time.
2. Mostly, it's an effect of reading and listening to ghazals. Now reading ghazals would be rather confusing for you (Still, if you want, search online for Mirza Ghalib, Bashir Badr).. Listening to ghazals is better because the singers themselves omit the couplets that a common man with no Urdu background won't get.
3. Let me try to translate this one for you.
"My lips smiled, while my eyes got filled with tears,
(-This suggests) perhaps God was in an utter state of confusion/dilemma yesterday night."
