[A Qawwali by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Repeat each line at least twice while reading- then only you'd get a feel of it. It'd be even better if you could support your voice with qawwali kinda clapping too. :P But the best idea would be to go Youtube!]
Sochta hun ki vo kitne maasoom the..
Kya se kya ho gaye dekhte dekhte;
Maine patthar se jinko banaaya sanam..
Vo khuda ho gaye dekhte dekhte.
.
.
Humse ye soch kar koi wada karo..
Ek waade pe umre guzar jayegi;
Ye hai duniya yahaan kitne ahal-e-wafa
Bewafaa ho gaye dekhte dekhte.
.
.
Gair ki baat tasleem kya kijiye
Ab to khud par bhi humko bharosa nahin;
Apna saaya samajhte the jinko kabhi
Vo juda ho gaye dekhte dekhte.

Ye mohtarma thi kon? [:P]
I like anonymous comments. I like personal comments too. But I don't like anonymous personal comments. (This comment is more or less fine, but are you the same anon who left comments on a few of my previous posts today? I don't find them in no good taste.)
waah!
aah...Nusrat. Unique. Inimitable.
Interestingly, the only time I could enjoy any "fusion" music was when Nusrat did it - he never lost himself in the midst of anyone or any kind of music, but rather his uniqueness provided the perfect complement to say, Eddie Vedder (dead man walking soundtrack)
Just read latest four-line poem on my feed.
One thing I really admire about you: when the phase once passes, you delete the angsty stuff! :D

I'm rather under-acquainted with different forms of fusion music to comment on that, but I've listened to the soundtrack you mentioned (and a few others of him), and they are an absolute delight to listen.

This time it didn't come from the personal angst though, this time it was a simple logical exercise to prove how Life is a bitch. :D
That is certainly a good/classic addition to your blog.You could perhaps add the youtube link too.
Thanks for the link, looked interesting, will go through the post(s).
and I have missed a lot of action on your blog, need to catch up with them as well.
I wanted to keep the opening paragraph I wrote for the post, and the link didn't seem to fit with it. Waise, if you haven't found it already, it's here.
Yes, I've been dishing out a lot of posts lately. Poetry eludes me though. :(
