Walked a not-so-lonely South Delhi road yesterday night with a can of beer in my hand, and a couple of friends by my side.. Yeah, I graduated[1]. It was in people's eyes. I need no certificate from IIT any longer.
"Man we were killin' time
We were young and restless
We needed to unwind
I guess nothin' can last forever.."

Teachers at school used to insist on discipline. The professional life after college would've too many obligations. I've been a puppet, I'll be a puppet. But right now are the days of MY life, and that is so fucking best about them.
[1] It's still some time before I graduate 'academically'. Currently I'm contemplating graduating in other spheres of life. ;)

Enjoy being a free bird. And don't expect it to end soon!
"Saw it written and I saw it say
Pink moon is on its way
And none of you stand so tall
Pink moon gonna get ye all
And it’s a pink moon"
Nick drake
but its nice to find someone who can be a free bird despite the pink moon!
CONGRATULATIONS.
Yo! The graduate!
What's so great about growing up anyway?
[Akshay]
Wait, wait! This is so not an Akshay comment! Where are the advices for the week? :P
:)

Wow! These lyrics go so well with my post.
"..a free bird despite the pink moon!"
- Really, how great it'd be if I were really totally so! Long way to go. :) (Hard drinks now, please :D)
[Vibhav]
Oh yeah Vibhav, my old friend..
The countdown has really begun..
[Phoenix]
Actually, I hate it as much as you do. I'm a spoilt child. The trouble with a spoilt child is, it doesn't acknowledge anything bad about growing up, but it absolutely dreads growing up more.
YAAYI!!! Congrats!!!! So, its party time, huh!!?
Enjoy! :-))

Hey, there's still quite some time before we get to celebrate Graduation! (Sorry, the reference in the post was vague.) Currently, it's only anxiety time. :)
Congratulations Vikram !
Enjoy the days of Your Life before Life makes you a puppet once again :-)
Cheers!!!
time to move up...to whiskey that is ;)
[Geetanjali]
Yes, yes, definitely, I'm enjoying; and hope I can do something about the puppet thing too. Thank you! :)
Guess I confused my readers about the graduation thing; I ain't a graduate yet.. it'll take a month or two or three. So, your congratulations I accept for my general state of being happy. (Maybe that's what you meant in the first place!)
:)

Whiskey on a road in Delhi?? Assuming we don't give a damn to cops (beer was no less efficient in attracting them), the only problem would be that the small quantities of whiskey won't last you for a long time on the 2-3 km slow walk (even beer didn't).. the idea is 'to be seen drinking'.. that'd require consumption of as much whiskey as the beer.. and that'd be a fucking post graduation I'm in no mood of currently!
Came back and re-read the post, loved every bit.
Beer on the road...latenight...with close friends...sounds very interesting.
Enjoy the fun time!!
:-))
There's a definite change in your style of writing which I noticed over the previous posts.
Whatever is the reason, great going.
:-)
ohh common..simple and effective solution..done all the time in parties..mix whiskey in a bottle of coke..better still thumbs up....and if you gulp that down...you can go for moon walk man..let alone a 2-3 km walk....:D..enjoy d days...im already dreading abt whats gonna happen once i leave collg in abt 20 days...so i say bring it on
[RM..]
Yaay, interesting it was! Indeed.
Definitive change.. Hmm, it's difficult to see short-time changes in oneself; I hope the change you noticed about me is positive. (I guess I crib lesser than yesterdays.) Thanks for being a regular on my blog. :)

What made the walk memorable was the risk factor.. as I said- the idea was to be 'seen' drinking.. people looking at you should know it's alcohol in your hands. A part of this defiant feeling is lost when a bottle of coke comes into picture. Fun it'd be too, but it'd be a different sort of fun :)
Yeah, I'm dreading it too. So, where are you heading to? I'll be off to Banglore I guess. (But IIT has plans to hold me for a while.)
congrats! enjoy while it lasts :)
good that u know its the best time...most people don't realize till they r over...
[Chandni]
I too have realized quite late you know. Could've made a better use of the whole semester, had I known it earlier. :)
Congratulations, Mr. Graduate!
And as for feeling free in-between two stages, that's the best point of view. At least, you're not cribbing. I'll keep this in mind if (:P) and when I greaduate.
[Drenched]
[Please refer to the freshly added footnote too. :P ]
Oh, Miss Self-confessed Fanatical Grammar Nazi (:P), I used to crib a lot- Cribbing felt good at that time; but these days my blog looks sober, and this feels good too. Keep doing whatever makes you happy- Things need not be predetermined.
